Common Chickweed (Stellaria Media)

Common chickweed is one of the most common weeds of cultivated landing the UK. Often occurring where there are high potassium levels, it is also a sign of high nitrogen and low lime and phosphate levels. Its appearance can vary depending on soil and environmental factors.

Common chickweed germinates in the autumn or late winter, then forming beds of leaves. Its flowers are white and small.
