How Does Timbrel Work?

Timbrel is a selective scrub and brushwood herbicide which is rapidly absorbed and is readily translocated through-out the plant. Timbrel has a short persistance in water and soil because of the action of sunlight and micro-organisms. Timbrel does not leave harmful residues in soil and does not leach.

Application Rate

The application rates vary for area of use and weeds to be controlled. Read product label before use.

Foliage Sprays:

Apply at 2-8 litres/ha Timbrel in 200-300 litres of water. Designed for brush and scrub clearance on woody and perennial broad-leaved weeds when they are actively growing.

Winter Shoot Sprays:

Apply at 3-10 litres/ha Timbrel in 300 litres/ha of water. Applied to scrub and invader species during their winter dormancy.

Stem treatments

Apply at 20-80mls Timbrel per litre of paraffin or diesel oil. Allows year round applications either by basal bark application, frill girding or tree injection.

Cut Stump Treatment:

Apply at 20-80mls Timbrel per litre of paraffin or diesel oil. Used to prevent re-growth of trees following felling or pruning at any time of year except during sap flow.
