Professional Weed Killer
Professional weed killer is used by professionals such as greenkeepers, groundsmen, gardeners and maintenance workers. It does the job of controlling unwanted weeds in all kinds of situations including on the golf course, in parks, around walls and buildings, on bowling greens, cricket pitches, football and rugby fields and in aquatic areas.
There are a great number of herbicide products available to kill weeds and what is applied and when will depend on local factors, the time of the year, budget and weeds to control. Because all weeds differ in their susceptibility to particular herbicides, choosing the right one is important.
It is imporant that professional weed killers should be used according to the Approved Code of Practice.
Professional Weed Killer vs Domestic Weed Killer
A professional weed killer is for use by professionals who have received the necessary training and gained the required spraying certificate for the product being used. It should be used according to the Approved Code of Practice.
All professional weed killers have a five-figure Ministerially Approved Pesticide Product (MAPP) number that identifies the product and also indicates it has been tested, approved and is safe to use for whatever purpose is stated.
A domestic weed killer often has a four-figure Health and Safety Executive (HSE) number, which identifies it as having being approved for use in domestic situations such as on patios, driveways, lawns and flower beds.
