Rigby Taylor cocktail is the route for Chelsea
A recent article in the Groundsman, with Chelsea FC's Assistant Head Groundsman, Kevin Fowler, gave an insight into the pitch care programme at the club.
As well as speaking about the pre-season preparation, equipment used and cutting heights, Kevin talked about the benefits he had seen from using such Rigby Taylor products as Breaker BioLinks, Magnet Rapide and Rayzor.
He said a nutrient cocktail of Rigby Taylor's rooting stimulants involving Activate F and Activate XL, applied every three-four weeks at the rate of 30l/ha, had produced the best rootzone he had seen after eight weeks.
Kevin also explained how most of the products used at the club were sourced from Rigby Taylor.
During renovations the club used the liquid rooting stimulant, Activate R, the Premier 22.3.15 granular fertilizer and finally R14 ESP coated seed, which Kevin said they had chosen because of its ability to establish early through the development of a stronger root system.
