Through Snow To The Spring...
In an interview for Rigby Taylor’s 'Turf Talk' e-newsletter, Karl Parry, Course Manager at Denbigh Golf Club, talks about his course and his career to date. He describes how it took a rigorous recovery programme to bring the greens that he inherited when he started work at Denbigh in March 2010 back up to the standards now evident on the course.
"It's only been ten months, but a huge change in the greens has happened. A number of changes have also been made around the course, including the simple things like hand mowing the tees. Being a golfer myself I'm basically setting up the golf course how I would want to play a golf course, so I understand what members are expecting and what they want." He said.
